10 Cancelled Star Wars Clone Wars Episodes We Never Got To See

One of the bolder ideas that was in the early stages of development for the show was reintroducing the extragalatic race known as the Yuuzhan Vong. If you don't know who the Yuuzhan Vong are, they were heavily relevant in the old Star Wars canon, now known as Legends. Their species invaded the galaxy after the events of Return of the Jedi and were responsible for almost almost 365 trillion deaths.

The Vong existed outside of the Force which meant they were unable to be sensed by the Jedi, which aided them greatly in their attacks. One of the few beings who knew about the impending Vong invasion was Emperor Palpatine, who intentionally kept a strong military and constructed the Death Star in preparation for their attack.

Their involvement in The Clone Wars was said to be a minimal one, with the story following a lone scout ship, whose mission was to assess the Jedi and Republic and what threat they would be to their impending invasion.

The episode was said to have an alien abduction vibe and was akin to an episode of The X-Files. It would have certainly been interesting to see how the Vong would have translated to the show.
