10 Cancelled Star Wars Clone Wars Episodes We Never Got To See

Back in 2015 at Star Wars Celebration Anaheim, during The Untold Clone Wars Panel, Dave Filoni discussed an episode they had planned which was essentially 'Top Gun with Clones'. The story arc seemed to be one on the lighter side rather than the darker, Darth Maul-centric episodes of the show.

The story of the episodes centred around a confrontation between the ordinary clone troopers and their pilot counterparts, about their ability to fly. The argument then extended to the their astromech droids, who fought amongst each other. It led to Captain Rex flying a fighter with R2-D2, only for things to go wrong, and for both to end up stranded.

Not many other details are known about the planned episodes other than an appearance from D-Squad, a group of military droids who had appeared in previous Clone Wars episodes. The concept of fighting amongst the clones was always an interesting one whenever it was explored, so it is unfortunate that this particular one will never be seen.
