10 Celebs You Didn't Know Appeared In Futurama
7. Bea Arthur As Femputer
The episode that introduced the concept of "snu-snu" - Season 3's Amazon Women in the Mood - quickly became one of the show's most iconic and quotable episodes.
After crash-landing on a planet run by giant, muscular tribal women, the Planet Express Crew - along with Zapp Brannigan and Kif - discover that the barbarians are led by the Femputer, a matriarchal computer that sentences Fry, Zapp and Kif to death by snu-snu.
Despite the episode being one of the most popular episodes of the show, many fans never noticed the woman behind the Femputer was none other than Bea Arthur, American acting royalty and former Golden Girl.
While Arthur's voice lends a certain authority and dignity to the Femputer, knowing that she's the voice behind the screen makes the character's (sort of) sex scene with Bender much more difficult to watch.
Again, it's something of a surprise that an actor of Ms. Arthur's calibre would take a role in a show like Futurama, especially given the nature of her character, but her voice was perfectly suited to the Amazonian's mechanical ruler.
