10 Classic TV Shows That Sold Out With Awful Gimmick Episodes

4. South Park

South ParkEpisode: "It Hits The Fan" For a show that prides itself on envelope-pushing, this episode was a weak attempt to provoke that has not aged well and is very rarely aired in repeats in its original form. Written as a reaction to the CBS series Chicago Hope oh-so-daringly using the word "s**t" in an episode, South Park takes that flag and runs with it, saying the s-word a staggering 162 times in half an hour, a record not likely to be broken in our lifetimes. What little humor is to be gleaned from the shock value quickly fades, and the viewer is left staring at the handy ticker in the corner of the screen, waiting for the next variation of "s**t" to come.
