You can really only call Ea a sword under the broadest definition imaginable, seeing as how it's less of a sword and more of a godlike force of the universe crammed into the approximate shape of a sword. And by god is it awesome.

In the world of Fate/Stay Night, our world was created when Ea carved our world out from the heavens, causing the birth of the universe itself. It can never be replicated since it's made out of materials that humans can't even process let alone recreate, and it gives whoever has the stones to wield it to wipe out all of existence just by thinking about wiping out all of existence.

Only the mighty Gilgamesh can handle the sheer force and cosmic might of Ea, and even then he can't access all of its power (otherwise this would be a VERY short series). Other swords might be more recognizable, more versatile, or just easier to handle, but nothing tops the awesome blade of Ea. Easily making it the coolest sword in anime.
