It's only been 5 months since The Flash season one ended but they've been a slow 5 months - insert standard joke about how ironic it is for anything to move slowly in the world of the speedster. The first season was chaotic and funny and moving and managed to nicely balance its obligations to fans of the comics (Grodd! Zoom! Grodd! Firestorm! GRODD!) with being accessible to viewers who were going in blind. The show established itself as the lighter, fluffier alternative to the gritty Arrow and gained a legion of fans in the process. But let's be honest here. A big selling point of The Flash is the fact that the cast are collectively one of the most attractive groups of people on the planet. Bless The CW and their casting process, which can be summed up as "if they are unbelievably beautiful and can emote adequately with swelling music behind them, they're hired (and let's try to be a bit better on diversity than most other shows, OK?)". This means that the options for beautiful love-pairings between the characters are endless (especially when Wentworth Miller's impossibly charismatic Leonard Snart AKA Captain Cold is thrown into the mix).
