Thanks to Fear the Walking Dead, we know that the zombie apocalypse has taken not only the good old USA but their neighbours Mexico too. But beyond a brief mention of France also trying to find a cure before losing contact back in Season 1 by Dr Jenner at the CDC, we have no confirmation of what’s going on in the rest of the world.

Could it be that the rest of the world (France included) was able to contain the virus before it got too out of control and, knowing how bad the situation is in America, decided to make it a quarantine zone to keep the rest of the planet zombie-free?

Some think this revelation could be a perfect way to end The Walking Dead, by showing the rest of world functioning in relative normalcy save for the odd stray walker or two while what little remains of the USA gradually falls.

Or that an army of European soldiers will swoop in last minute to save the day, or even that the show might end with the rest of the world choosing to take the preventative measure of nuking the USA into oblivion to put a stop to the undead hordes once and for all.
