10 Craziest Moments In The Walking Dead

8. Battle Between Brothers

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jnx4f5aRCbI Even though Shane was only around for two seasons, his impact on the show and its characters cannot be denied. At first, you couldn't help but feel sorry for him. He helped Rick's family get to safety when the plague first broke out but inadvertently fell in love with Lori in the process. I mean, who doesn't need a kiss and a cuddle when the world is going up in flames, right? However, his actions after that point cannot be excused at all. From trying to force himself on Lori in the CDC, only to be scratched and clawed away to mercilessly killing Otis while trying to get a machine that would save Carl's life, it became very clear that Shane had finally lost the plot. During the penultimate episode of the second season, he plans a fake search to try and get Rick alone so he can kill him, become the de facto leader of the group and take Lori for himself. However, after Rick manages to calm him down by promising him that they can all work things out if they go back to Hershel's house, he stabs him right in the stomach. Not only did Shane's death clearly affect Rick, who had a hallucination of him during the Woodbury invasion, it also caused problems with his relationship with Lori, something he didn't truly get a chance to rectify before she died giving birth to Judith in the next season.
