10 Creepiest Star Trek Aliens

8. Gorgan

Gorgan, also known as the 'Friendly Angel', was the antagonist from the Star Trek: The Original Series episode And the Children Shall Lead. He was a non-corporeal being preserved in a cave on the planet Triacus. He was the last of a race of marauders who used Triacus as a base for their raids against the Epsilon Indi star system. Gorgan put himself in suspended animation when the marauders were finally defeated by their victims.

Gorgan was accidentally revived by a Federation expedition. He used the expedition's children to inspire fear in the adults until the adults died by mass suicide. He then manipulated the children into becoming his soldiers in a war of conquest. When the Enterprise arrived at Triacus, he tried using the children to take control of the ship so he could bring his war to another star system.

He was eventually overcome when Kirk turned the children against him by reminding them of their lives with their parents and their parents' deaths. Cursing them all, an enraged Gorgan reverted to his true horrible appearance and then fled the ship.
