2. The Fourth Doctor Attacked Hilariously - Nightmare Of Eden

From everything we hear, working on Nightmare of Eden was not fun for anybody, but you wouldn't know it from watching the story. In fact, it's not until you see this story that you realize that John Nathan-Turner, when he took over as producer the following year, might have had a point when he said that Tom Baker's sense of humour needed to be reined in a little. Case in point: the Doctor is being attacked by one of this week's monsters, a Mandrel (not to be confused with Barbara Mandrell and the Mandrell Sisters, a country-western variety show from the same era that also featured monsters on a weekly basis). The Doctor is chased by one into a projection of the monster's home planet Eden (long story), and we hear him rather than see him being chased and attacked by it. And we know he's being chased and attacked by it because of Baker's helpful commentary: 'Steady, steady. This way. Not that way! This. Oh! Oh! Oh, my fingers, my arms, my legs! Ah! My everything! Argh!' Again, no video clips of this exist on YouTube. Can't imagine why. That would mean someone would want to see it, and none of us do. And speaking of things we never, never wanted to see...
