10 Cringeworthy Doctor Who Moments

8. The Eleventh Doctor Is 'Doctor Who?' - Asylum Of The Daleks

Most of the time, Matt Smith's bits of mania while playing the Eleventh Doctor can be somewhat entertaining, but the man can't be left alone in the TARDIS. No, seriously - when he is, he has a terrible habit of just dancing around and going on about how great it is that he's so enigmatic. Or maybe we're just remembering one scene that manages to overload the entire 'Doctor Who?' trope that the show's been dangling over our heads for decades just a little too much. It comes at the end of Asylum of the Daleks, after the Doctor has dropped Amy and Rory off at home again. Granted, they've just been discussing his name. For no other apparent reason, all by himself, he's at the top of the stairs, dancing and spinning, and saying 'Doctor Who?' over and over again as he twirls around the console. Well, it's only three times. But for fans who hate it whenever their favourite show is a little too on-the-nose about the show's enigmatic title, this scene feels like it goes on forever. That, and it messes up a perfectly decent Dalek episode. Open hand, insert face, close hand.
