10 Current TV Comedies That Prove This Is A Golden Era

9. 2 Broke Girls

Tumblr Inline Mjplbtciga1qz4rgp Gif When 2 Broke Girls appeared on our screens in 2011, I for one was somewhat sceptical. Was this just going to be another comedy that lasted a season before being axed? But still, I gave it a go and from the first episode I was hooked. The cast is made up primarily of Kat Dennings €“ who delivers every line with such comic precision and wit that you'll be spitting your drink out before the first scene is over €“ and Beth Behrs, who despite negative criticism about her character at the beginning of the series, has gradually got funnier as the show has progressed. The show focuses on Max and Caroline who decide to start a cupcake business in order to gain some money and reach their goal of $25,000, but in order to make any money at all they spend most of their time working in a diner with some interesting colleagues. There's their boss, Han Lee who is desperate to adjust to his new American surroundings, Oleg, the sleazy cook and Earl, the cashier of the restaurant, who spends most of his time reminiscing about the 60s. In spite of some negative criticisms over the show's overly sexual and at times inappropriate jokes, the reception has been good from the start and if you want a quick laugh, this is the show to go for.
