8. Parks And Recreation
Like numerous popular current T.V show comedies, Parks and Recreation takes the format of a mockumentary which follows Leslie Knope, played by Amy Poehler and her colleagues who work in the department of Parks and Recreation in the town of Pawnee. A little-known fact about the show is that it was originally planned to be a direct spin-off of the Office, however it was later decided that the show would take its own original format instead. Since its creation in 2009 the show has been criticised increasingly and its viewers have declined tremendously. However, in spite of this, the show has been renewed for another season and its viewings are very steadily beginning to rise, possibly due to the decision to steer away from certain subplots which many viewers feel have gone on for too long. Regardless, Parks and Recreation is a funny show that incorporates comedy with politics something that not many shows manage to pull off and if for that alone, it deserves boatloads of praise.
