10 DC Heroes Who Need Their Own Animated Series

8. Red Hood And The Outlaws

Red Hood DC Rebirth
DC Comics

The initial outing of this team during the New 52 was...divisive, to put it politely, especially if you were a fan of Starfire.

Meanwhile, the Rebirth version of this team, starring Red Hood, Bizarro, and Artemis, has been getting nothing but rounds of applause since its debut. Partly due to its much higher opinion of women compared to the New 52 version, but mostly due to its fun rebellious tone and stunning characterization.

One might think that Red Hood and The Outlaws might be a bit too dark for an animated series, and if this were ten years ago, you'd be right. However, with DC universe, more mature superhero work can be made and shown to a mainstream audience.

As long as the animated series sticks closer in tone and imagery to the Rebirth series (so as not to give viewers war flashbacks to what they did to Starfire in the New 52) a Red Hood and The Outlaws animated series would be 10 different kinds of awesome.

Besides, the more people exposed to the glory that is Artemis' biceps, the better off we will be as a species.
