10 DC Heroes Who Need Their Own Animated Series

7. Justice League Dark

Red Hood DC Rebirth
DC Comics

In 2017, DC released an animated film centering around a team that fans have been dying to see get some love for a long time - Justice League Dark. Like the comics it was based on, it was dark, gothic, fun as hell, and surprisingly funny thanks to lead John Constantine's inability to take anything seriously.

While successful, it was clear that an animated series that would properly adapt this comic book team would be hard. This team doesn't have the word "dark" at the end of their name for nothing, after all.

But, like with Red Hood and The Outlaws, that makes this team perfect for DC Universe. Shows like Doom Patrol and Young Justice Outsiders are great incentives for getting the service (on top of every DC film and TV project ever made) but it's going to need more original content if it's going to keep up in the long run.

And nothing would help the service make a name for itself better than its own Justice League cartoon.
