10 Disturbing Fan Theories About Kids' TV Shows

1. Rugrats - It's All In Angelica's Head

Well, obviously they're not real; they're cartoons. But one theory has it that the younger cast are in fact products of Angelica's imagination. The theory posits that Angelica is just a sad, lonely little girl with no friends of her own. Her own parents don€™t have any time for her because they€™re too busy working. To make up for it, she has created a series of smaller friends that she can boss around to give her a sense of authority and power.

The theory becomes even more disturbing when it becomes clear that Angelica has based the characters on the dead children of her parents€™ childless friends. Chuckie died in the same crash that killed this mother, explaining why Chaz is a nervous wreck. Tommy was a stillborn, which is why Stu is constantly in the basement making toys for the son who never had a chance to live. The twins Lil and Phil were actually one baby. Their parents had an abortion, or possibly a miscarriage and, because Angelica didn€™t know the baby€™s gender, decided to create one of each.

With a (nearly) useless degree in English literature and a personal trainer qualification he's never used, Freddie spends his times writing things that he hopes will somehow pay the rent. He's also a former professional singer, and plays the saxophone and ukulele. He's not really used to talking about himself in the third person, and would like to stop now, thanks.
