Speaking of Doctors who managed to leave a lasting impression within the confines of just one on screen outing, the Eighth Doctor is an incarnation that proved he's still got plenty more to give (and then some) when he made an unannounced return as part of the 50th anniversary festivities. So, when he's going to give it, then? Yes, his extra terrestrial escapades have continued over recent years in the ongoing Big Finish audio adventures (thank God for those, by the way!), but the uncharted success of The Night of the Doctor mini-episode should have been enough to convince the BBC that audiences would tune in in their droves if Paul McGann were to ever reprise his role for a televisual spin off. In fact, it's so sought after that there's even a campaign to get it green lit. As far as proposed Doctor Who spin offs go, this one is closer to coming to any fruition that most. As always, only time will tell.
