10 Doctor Who Comics Fans Must Read

This is a more recent comic, but it involves the classic pairing of the Second and Third Doctors along with classic companions, the indomitable Leftbridge Stewart and Tom Osgood who, according to Stephen Moffat, was originally meant to be the father of the modern-day Petronella Osgood, who has appeared in the tv show before.

This story involves the usual battle between the Doctor and the diabolical Master, who insists that this time he is not the villain. Instead, the main villain at first appears to be a colony of nanites which take the shape of robots. When destroyed, they assimilate their surroundings, becoming stronger each time they are defeated. A sort mix between the Borg and the Cybermen.

This story holds several twists and turns, especially around the true identity of the Second Doctor, and what is really going on with the nanite. This leads the Third Doctor and the Master to team up in a rare moment of comradery to save the universe.

This story is great for people who don't know too much about the Third Doctor, but want to. This story is also just good fun to read as it does have several plot twists, and takes an interesting turn on an invasion story spanning from 2018 all the way back to the 1970's.
