Perhaps one of the most viable pairings on this list, a newly regenerated Romana could easily return to our screens in Series 9. Her meeting with Clara would also be one of the most amicable on screen companion meetings and the two could probably find lots of common ground on which to strike up a friendship. If Romana were to return to our screens, her Time Lord heritage could possibly give her a sense of superiority over Clara, however it's certain that Ms Oswald wouldn't allow anyone to possess this misbegotten illusion around her for very long. One just needs to see how quickly and succinctly she cuts through the Doctor's bravado to see just how brilliantly she can handle the ego of the Time Lords. This no-nonsense attitude would probably endear Romana to her, as opposed to annoying and distancing the Time Lady.
