10 Doctor Who Companions Who Should've Met A Different Doctor

1. K-9 And The Second Doctor

K-9 started out as the pet robot bought along by Leela in The Invisible Enemy and while the Fourth Doctor eventually (very much eventually) grew to love him, the Second Doctor would have no such bond. One must only look to how many times he shouts €œStupid machines!€ whilst beating the automated receptionist in The Invasion to realise that after five minutes with him he would kick him in the sides.

That's why this pairing is perfect for a short Comic Relief special.

The Second Doctor's TARDIS materialises somewhere and K-9 enters. Recognising him as the Doctor, he begins to vie for his attention whilst the Doctor runs around shouting and trying to get him out. Think of it a bit like Time Crash but with actual puppy love rather than just David Tennant's weak knees - the only difference being that rather than the two learning to work with each other and growing as people at the end, Kamelion the robot walks in too and the Second Doctor storms out of his own TARDIS. You can just picture it now, can't you?

What do you think of this list? Are there any other Doctor/companion duos that never were you'd like to see? Let us know in the comments.
