10 Doctor Who Episodes That Would've Made A Great Movie

1. Voyage Of The Damned

This list started with a Christmas Special, so let's end with one, too. Voyage of the Damned is a blockbuster episode in every sense of the word and it was one of the first examples - if not the first example - of NuWho going above and beyond the constraints of its often defining 'family teatime drama' genre. It just goes to show what you can do with a good story - and a great guest star line up to boot - and a movie based on this 2007 yuletide escapade would be Titanic meets Interstellar meets The Poseidon Adventure... with an Australian pop princess thrown in for good measure. Just 'cause! It's a cracking good story, too, and, with a running time of just over 70 minutes, Russell T Davies has admitted that at least 10 minutes of it was cut which suggests that viewers only ended up seeing the tip of the iceberg... so to speak. There's plenty more where that came from and the big screen would be the perfect place to reveal it to the masses. Just imagine the Heavenly Hosts in all their cinematic glory and those action sequences would've been even more so in 3D. Doctor Who fans should be so lucky (lucky, lucky, lucky!). What did you think of this list? Are there any other Doctor Who episodes that would've made a great movie? Leave your silver screen suggestions in the comments section below!
