7. The Pandorica Opens
The cliffhanger ending to The Pandorica Opens sees the Daleks, Cybermen, Sontarans, Autons, Sycorax and the Hoix all get what they want; the Doctor banged up in prison. The impossible alliance of many of Doctor Who's primary antagonists is brought together by an altruistic desire to stop the Doctor from blowing up the universe.
Still, there must have been a slight feeling of satisfaction that they'd finally trapped the Doctor, even in the most emotionless of Cyber hearts. The only problem is that the Doctor's enemies don't have long to enjoy their victory before all the stars go out and they're reduced to stone relics in a dying timeline.
That's because this alliance of the Doctor's enemies give the Silence exactly what they want by removing him from the picture while they blow up the TARDIS. This ultimately sets in motion a chain of events that has the Doctor sacrifice his life to reboot the universe, thus removing him from reality altogether.
So the Silence are the true victors of The Pandorica Opens, setting up elaborate traps within traps for the Doctor, desperate to put an end to the Time Lord before he can reignite the Time War above Trenzalore.
