10 Doctor Who Moments That Made You Say 'WTF Were They Thinking?!'

1. A Little Too Tight

When you think about it, a strange man claiming to be an all-powerful demigod asking young women to step into his tiny box is weird. And lines like this don't do the Doctor any favours.

Nightmare in Silver sees Eleven and Clara do battle with the Cybermen in an abandoned intergalactic theme park. The episode is as mediocre and inoffensive as they come, but takes a hard swerve into cringe territory when the Doctor drops this clanger of a speech about his companion.

When Clara leaves the TARDIS at the end of the episode, the Doctor mumbles to himself that she's "A mystery wrapped in an enigma, squeezed into a skirt that's just a little bit too... tight."

This was clearly intended to be a moment of realisation where the Doctor understands how important Clara is, but considering he's already had several of those throughout the series, it feels unnecessary as well as uncomfortable.

It doesn't even sound like something the Doctor would say, and the fact that he says it to himself, alone, in his box, makes it so much worse.
