10 Doctor Who Moments That Made You Say 'WTF Were They Thinking?!'

Classic Who is full of absolute bonkers moments, understandable considering the show was operating on a budget of six buttons and a paperclip for most of the time. But this scene from 1984's Warriors of the Deep really takes the cake.

The story follows a conflict over nuclear weapons, with the human agitators being joined by some Silurians and Sea Devils for good measure. To gain the upper hand the Silurians release the Myrka, a huge aquatic beast that definitely isn't two people struggling mightily with a pantomime costume.

For some reason, the human Doctor Solow decides she has what it takes to defeat this monster single-handedly, but instead of a gun, a knife, or even some chopsticks, she decides to launch a karate kick at the Myrka, only to die instantly when she touches it.

I mean, just look at this. What on Earth?!

No amount of budget or time constraints can excuse the fact that this is one of the stupidest things Doctor Who has ever done, and although it is very funny, it's amazing that it was even allowed to happen.
