10 Doctor Who Stars Before They Were Famous

4. Arthur Darvill

Arthur Darvill was written off as a bumbling fool when he was first introduced as Amy Pond's long suffering other half, Rory Williams, in Doctor Who but over time he firmly established himself as a bonafide hero in his own right... albeit, one who was always dying! No hero is born overnight, though, and Arthur's first TV break came back in 2001 when he guest appeared in the iconic children's series Sooty on ITV. There was a video of it online somewhere but unfortunately it's been removed off YouTube by an unnamed source who may/may not have been Arthur's agent. At least you can check out a still of him with his puppet pals above, and it's common knowledge that a picture says a 1,000 words. On this occasion, five of those words would be "Izzy wizzy, let's get busy!". Bless.
