10 Dumbest Villain Plans In TV Shows
7. That’s A Lot Of Steps - Jasmine (Angel)
The expression "less is more" was clearly lost on Jasmine, the main antagonist of Buffy spin-off Angel's fourth season.
Real name unpronounceable by humans, Jasmine is the physical embodiment of an ancient spirit also known as The Blessed Devourer. She is the son of Connor, Angel's own son, and Cordelia, whom she was possessing.
So, she's the mother of her own human form? Right...
To get to that point, Jasmine went through a lot of rigamarole. She summoned The Beast, an ancient demon who was working for her, blocked out the sun, released Angel's alter ego Angelus, and ended up getting The Beast (her own servant) killed.
All she needed to do was impregnate Cordelia and then give birth. What was all this Beast business about? A distraction? A flex? Whatever it was, it didn't work.
Summoning The Beast displayed Jasmine's power, but it came at the cost of the story. It felt like the writers just trying to artificially extend the lifespan of this plot by dragging it out, which led to the eventual conclusion feeling a little underwhelming.
Keep it simple next time, Jasmine.
