10 Dumbest Ways Supposedly Badass TV Characters Died

9. Lexa Was Hit By A Stray Bullet - The 100

For a Showrunner to have to apologise for how a major character was killed off is a pretty big deal. That is exactly what happened in the aftermath of the death of Lexa on the CW's - The 100.

Without going into the more political arguments behind Lexa's unfortunate on-screen demise, killing her off wasn't right. Especially the way the show chose to go about it.

Any character, no matter how badass they are, who meets their maker at the end of a stray bullet is always going to stir up controversy. After all, is there a more lame-duck way to kill a popular character off than an accidental gunshot wound?

Even if you completely remove Lexa's awesome backstory as this warrior-leader of a tribe of post-apocalyptic humans, her death still sucks. After spending so long developing Lexa and Clarke's relationship, ending it just as it got going is less of a tragedy and more of a massive injustice to both the show and its fans.

Lexa was a badass, and if she was going to be killed off she deserved a suitable ending. Not a cheap death out of nowhere in the name of drama.
