10 Embarrassingly Awful TV Roles Taken By Hollywood Stars

1. Bryan Cranston €“ Man In A Skunk Outfit, Shield Deodorant Commercial

Bryan Cranston Embarrassing--> Breaking Bad may have revealed Cranston's talents to a wider audience than ever before, but his versatility and talent stretches back way further than playing frazzled dad Hal in Malcolm in the Middle, or Jerry Seinfeld's dentist. Cast in a number of TV adverts in the 1980s, he was the face of Preparation H, Coffee-Mate, Coors Light and J.C. Penney suits - each advert as embarrassing as the next. However, it's widely assumed that his role wearing a skunk suit to advertise Shield deodorant soap was the launch pad for his acting career. In the advert, his character's wife is describing how, before he used Shield soap, everyone he came contact with could smell him - the skunk suit helps us here. We can clearly see that he stinks, clearing out a bus before he catches himself in the mirror and realises he's hit rock bottom. I mean, realises he smells. A quick shower in the skunk suit reveals the hunky husband within, with the declaration "the Shield works, long after other soaps quit". So that's the lot. Know of any more? Feel free to comment!
