10 Epic TV Moments Ruined By Awful Execution

2. The Fall Of Daenerys Targaryen - Game Of Thrones

Game of Thrones' entire eighth season could in fact be called an epic, milestone moment of TV derailed by its poor execution, but there's one specific aspect of the season which fans especially hated - the hurried, unbelievable downfall of Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke).

While there's absolutely nothing wrong with the basic idea of Daenerys becoming the "Mad Queen," murdering thousands of innocents by destroying King's Landing, and then being killed by Jon Snow (Kit Harrington), Dany's descent into madness was so thoroughly rushed that it rendered her entire arc inert.

After years of meticulous character development, Dany's descent needed to be handled slowly and carefully, but in season eight it happened almost on the turn of a dime, and felt totally inauthentic to the character as a result.

Had it been given more time to breathe, it could've been a powerfully tragic tale of downfall, but instead it came off as hokey and dramatically unearned.
