30 Rock is a strange beast: it's funny, heartwarming, meta, surreal and yet one of the funniest shows ever to have been on TV. But how? So, a comedy show about a comedy show, revolving a lot around media and meta humour, and yet it was loved by many, even those not in the industry themselves. It worked on the fact that even though you may not have known much about the setting, you would connect to the characters and their experiences.
