6. Eliot And Lucas - SKAM France
Innovative Norwegian drama Skam was so popular that it inspired a number of remakes around the world, all of which adopted its format to tell original variations of the same stories. All versions of the teen show dabbled in a number important topics, prioritising one of them each season and it was usually the third which explored homosexuality.
The French/Belgian remake is one of the most popular, and one of the many reasons for that is the relationship that unfolds between Eliot Demaury and Lucas Lallament. A retelling of the Isak/Evan narrative from the original Skam series, the third season followed both Eliot and Lucas as they came to terms with a number of things in their lives.
While Lucas was attempting to accept himself for who he was, Eliot was quietly struggling with bipolar and, even though it was a tough ride for the pair, their attraction to each other proved to be the one thing that got them through it.
Even though they're no longer at the center of the show, 'Elu' are still very much at the heart of it, and they've become so beloved that their love story is arguably the most popular version of the familiar Skam narrative.
