7. Roger (American Dad)
American Dad's Roger is a worldly wise alien who is well over 1000 years old. He lives with the Smiths, after having been on Earth since 1947 when he was sent there under the false pretence that he was the saviour of mankind. Roger first came into contact with Stan Smith when he was a fugitive of Area 51 and saved Stan's life (Stan being present thanks to his job in the CIA). As a result of this, Stan felt he owed Roger his life and took him in, unknown to his working peers, and continues to house him. Roger is eccentric and sarcastic, but loving and sensitive, and often gets by in public by dressing up in human outfits (which is quite bizarre, given that he has grey skin and a massive head, but that's cartoons for you). He often gets involved in capers with Stan's son, Steve Smith, who he has a particularly interesting relationship with.
