10 Extremely Talented TV Actors Who Don't Get The Credit They Deserve

8. Krysten Ritter

There's something to be said for the type of actress who can take ordinarily minor roles and make them completely memorable. Krysten Ritter's performance as Jane on Breaking Bad was heartbreaking, and her death was one of the most defining moments of the series. She was a little withdrawn and vulnerable, while still managing to be able to stand up for herself. Jane was never a caricature of a recovering drug addict, she always managed to feel like a real person, and a huge amount of credit has to be given to Ritter for that. So you watch Breaking Bad, and think, wow, she's pretty good. And then you happen up Don't Trust the B in Apartment 23, and you have a really hard time believing that it's even the same actress. She still has that trademark quirky edge to her, but in a much more uptown way as she plays the delightfully malevolent Chloe. It's interesting, because as much as actors can try to avoid being typecast, it's really hard to break out of the social class you're frequently cast into. Actors known for playing drug addicts or prostitutes rarely go on to play sophisticated New Yorkers, but Krysten Ritter managed it with style.
