10 Fascinating Facts About Seinfeld

2. We Don’t See Kramer Outside Of Jerry’s Apartment Until Episode 17

Kramer was initially conceived as a character that never went outside ,but that changed in the season two episode, The Busboy.

Kramer makes his giant leap for Kramerkind when he accompanies George to the home of a busboy. George was visiting him to apologise after inadvertently getting him fired from his restaurant job. From there, Kramer evolved into a much more outgoing character and his hare-brained schemes were all the funnier for it.

That’s not the only noteworthy aspect of The Busboy episode. It also contains the first scene in the entire series not to have Jerry in it and it's the only episode in which Jerry has no storyline of his own. It was a big departure for the show which had been very Jerry-focused from the first episode. It hinted at the larger roles his three co-stars would have in future episodes.

Although The Busboy is not regarded as a classic episode by most fans, it's certainly a notable one.
