10 Fates We Can't Wait To See In Sons of Anarchy's Final Season

6. Nero Padilla

FXFXIntroduced in season five as a positive role model, father figure and mentor for Jax and as a love interest for Gemma, Nero quickly made an impression as a man on the verge of following through on his exit strategy from his long life of crime. Over the course of his run on the show, though, his life has shifted backwards, pulling him back into a leadership position of the Byz Lats as his friendship with Jax has crumbled due to Jax's lies. With his warning about karma being delivered to Jax shortly before Tara's death, it seems almost inevitable that Nero is going to be first up on Jax's suspect list thanks to Juice's covering up of Gemma's involvement. Throw in his recent alignment with Miguel Alvarez and the Mayans, his kicking of Gemma to the curb and his general change in outlook from the first time viewers met him and Nero's got a lot on his plate ahead of the final season. He's turned out to be one of the best late additions to the show and certainly a very intriguing character fueled by a solid, likable performance by Jimmy Smits. At this point, it seems like there's no going back for Nero; he's back in the life and not playing around or happy about it. Whether fences can be mended between him and the Sons, particularly Jax, or if he's about to become one of their most dangerous foes, his role in the series endgame is bound to be important and fascinating.
