If Mock Trial with J. Reinhold wasn't quite confusing enough, then have we got the perfect show for you. One of the funniest sketches from That Mitchell and Webb Look, Numberwang is an incredibly fast-paced and bewilderingly nonsensical quiz show in which two contestants, Julie and Simon (Olivia Colman and Paterson Joseph), enthusiastically shout out numbers in the hope of finding a 'Numberwang'. Of course, it's never quite explained to them (or us) just what a Numberwang is but this only makes it all the more fun. Even the host (played by Robert Webb) struggles with this Wonderland logic, arbitrarily declaring a winner (usually Simon) before dishing out bizarre forms of punishment for the loser; one episode sees Julie being carted off by the police, another ends with her wearing a paper bag with 'NO' written on it. With a set design resembling a mathematician's nightmare, a special round in which the contestants eat number-shaped cakes and the word 'Numberwang' uttered every few seconds, only one question remains: why oh why hasn't this been commissioned?!
