10 Fixes That Would Improve The Big Bang Theory

8. Incidental Characters

Mary Cooper Big Bang Theory The parents of each of the characters, as well as Raj and Sheldon€™s respective siblings, have been consistently funny. While having them in every episode wouldn€™t work, it€™s worth thinking about having them appear more regularly. Sheldon€™s sister could be an interesting addition. If she had to stay for a while, she could give him relationship advice or maybe disapprove of Amy. She also thought Raj was a cutie pie so that could be an interesting dynamic given his new found confidence. Sheldon€™s mum is another fan favourite with the always hilarious and professional Laurie Metcalf showing that, no matter what age you are, you always have to respect your mum. Even if she is crazy. Leonard€™s mum is a brilliant character too, especially with her slightly odd friendship with Sheldon. It would be fun seeing her analyse Sheldon and Amy€™s relationship. Other characters like Lesley Winkle, Barry Kripke, and even Raj€™s new girlfriend Emily have been underused recently. Perhaps the writers wanted to focus a bit on the core cast to get their money€™s worth given the recent pay rises, but the incidental characters introduced over the years have been good value too.
