10 Friends Timeline Mistakes You Never Noticed
1. Rachel Is Pregnant For 15 Months
With Monica and Chandler wed, season eight concentrated on Rachel's pregnancy, closing with her giving birth to Emma in the season finale. Upon closer analysis, however, it appears that Rachel withstands an incomprehensible and agonising fifteen-month pregnancy.
For transparency, it's accepted in Friends that one season is proportionate to one year. Rachel first takes a pregnancy test during season eight's first episode The One After I Do, which is still set on the day of Monica and Chandler's wedding. From prior episodes, the wedding date is recognised as being 15 May; this is approximately one month after she would've fallen pregnant, given that Ross states in the third episode - The One Where Rachel Tells... - that he had slept with Rachel "about a month ago".
The season's eighth episode The One With The Rumor is a Thanksgiving-themed episode, indicating Rachel should be seven months pregnant and yet, she has no sign of a bump before she goes into labour in The One Where Rachel Is Late, the twenty-second episode. It's here that Rachel refers to it being summertime, stating that the temperature was 100 degrees. The episode denoted that Rachel was late from going into labour - but up to six months late?
Rachel's pregnancy journey reads like a lethargic attempt was made at plotting the fundamental milestones.
