Friends nailed the sitcom pilot better than most, but even it didn't come without its own inconsistencies. Such was the case when, upon bungling into the coffee house in her sodden wedding dress, Rachel is acquainted with the gang by Monica, who we come to realise is her friend from high school. This is where Rachel meets for the first time Joey and Phoebe, and sees Ross for the first time in years.

Chandler is also introduced to Rachel, seemingly for the first time, but ensuing seasons of Friends show Rachel and Chandler together almost a decade before the current-day setting Friends is set in. Season ten's The One Where The Stripper Cries even displays the duo making out during a college reunion, the same night that Ross and Rachel allegedly shared their own first kiss, while it's also noted that they spent many Thanksgivings together at the Geller household with their respective closeness with Monica and Ross.

The Friends writing team presumptively didn't expect the show to blow up like it did, leading to such blemishes in the interminable story, and this is barely a scratch on the surface when juxtapositioned against other story-based blunders - but it's still inaccurate.
