10 Funniest Brooklyn Nine-Nine Characters
9. Amy Santiago
We've all met them. We all have different names for them. Jobsworth, goody two shoes, teacher's pet. Whatever you decide to call them, there isn't a more exaggerated representation in fictional media than that of Amy Santiago.
Straight from the outset, Amy is depicted as having an almost computer-like intellect, a penchant for intense competition and, to be frankly honest, a natural ferocity. The type that tells people she has a very independent level of individuality. Which makes it all the more appealing that these traits don't subside once she marries Jake.
Not a spoiler. Who else was she going to marry? Teddy, Terry or Gina Linetti?
Don't think so.
In lieu of what sounds like a potentially disastrous idea for a woman of her perfectionism, they work as an extension of one and other. The hilarity of one seeps into the other, but more than anything, it leaks into her overassertiveness. Even though it still remains (and quite prevalently too), her characterisation becomes strengthened by the silliness she now imbues - creating a more jovial, rounded character who leans into the absurdity of the chaos in her workplace, rather than trying to control it.
