10 Funniest Curb Your Enthusiasm Episodes

1. The Ski Lift (Season 5, Episode 8)

Poor Richard Lewis.

Bedridden with kidney failure, Lewis receives a glimmer of hope when Larry befriends the devoutly Jewish head of the kidney consortium. Never the most religious of men, Larry pretends to be an Orthodox Jew in order to impress his new pal and avoid giving his own kidney to Lewis. While the intention of helping his pal is noble, Larry's actions are predictably terrible.

Bursting with priceless moments, the episode cruelly lampoons various Jewish customs and kosher etiquette as we watch Larry collide disastrously with his religious limitations. From the oblivious gibberish he tries to pass off as Yiddish to making Susie pretend to be his wife due to his own wife being a gentile, he's as unscrupulous as ever. The titular ski lift provides one of the series' most famous moments and a great showcase for guest star Iris Bahr's hilarity as the devout Rachel.

More bang for your buck is delivered via a subplot involving the size of Jeff's member. Almost as disaster-prone as his pal Larry, Jeff goes ballistic upon discovering an old flame is spreading a very unfortunate rumour about his most intimate appendage. The cast are all on top form here for an ingenious comedy of errors.
