10. Lieutenant Kif Kroker
The 'best friend' of Zapp Brannigan, which loosely translates to being his b***h, Kif spends most of his time performing demeaning tasks as first officer to the obnoxious general of the Democratic Order of Planets, such as having to give him sponge baths. The only saving grace for Kif's tedious job is that he can sarcastically insult Brannigan in the knowledge that he can get away with it due to his superior's stupidity. Away from work, though, the weakling, unconfident, spineless amphibian-like alien is lucky to have a girlfriend in the shape of the animatedly hot and mega-rich Mars-born Amy Wong. Apparently being nice to people and taking abuse from idiots does pay-off in the long-term, and Kif, who proved that deep down he does possess bravery in the episode titled 'Where the Buggalo Roam', in which he saves Amy and her family's livestock, should serve as inspiration to us all.
Voiced by: Maurice LaMarche.
First appearance: In only the fourth Futurama episode, we were introduced to Zapp Brannigan's whipping boy in the episode 'Love's Labours Lost in Space', the episode infamous for the time that Leela and Zapp had a night of disgusting sex thanks to the influence of "champagun". It was a treat to be introduced to yet another character with such wit and sarcasm this early on in the programme's life, with dialogue being uttered perfectly by LaMarche.
Greatest episode: In season's 4 'Kif Gets Knocked Up a Notch', you guessed it, Kif falls pregnant, as do all of the men of his species who 'make love', even to humans apparently. This only further highlights his feminist side, and what unfolds are uncomfortable moments in this unconventional relationship, and perhaps the most excitable and confident Kif has ever been.
Finest line: 'Love's Labours Lost in Space' Zapp - "Show them my medal Kif." Kif -
"He rented it with his tax refund."
