9. Emperor Lrrr
The egotistical and ruthless Emperor of the planet Omicron Persei 8 gets a certain sense of satisfaction from reminding us of this fact every time that he graces our screens, even when he's trying to buy 'human horn' incognito, which is worryingly used as an aphrodisiac. But deep down, for lack of a better word, Lrrr is whipped by his equally ruthless wife, Ndnd, and enjoys watching poor television shows such as 'Single Female Lawyer', proving that he's just as pathetically human as the rest of us. His threats directed at Earth tend to be empty, but luckily for us his comedy isn't. He growls dialogue at his enemies and ultimately only zaps annoying hippies and elaborate sand castles, thankfully choosing not to eliminate our other favourite characters. At heart, Lrrr is a hideous alien monster who enjoys writing poetry and healed a rabbit that he stepped on back to health. The intimidating figure and the red cape facade looks quite adorable now.

First appearance: In the 12th episode ever of Futurama, Lrrr and fellow Omicronians invade Earth in the season 1 episode 'When Aliens Attack' because Fry disrupted the broadcast of Lrrr' favourite TV show, 'Single Female Lawyer', by spilling beer after delivering beer to a Fox technician in 1999. Hilarity ensues as Fry directs his episode of 'Single female lawyer', "having lots of sex".
Greatest episode: It's difficult to look past Lrrr's Futurama debut as his best appearance, which intelligently satires the stupidity of television viewers and incorporates some of his funniest quotes.
Finest line: 'Love and Rocket' "This concept of 'wuv' confuses and infuriates us!"
