10 Funniest Futurama Characters

6. Mom

Mom Futurama Mom could perhaps be described as the Mr. Burns of Futurama - a hideous old person who is hellbent on taking over the world. On the outside, in the public eye, she is a sweet old dear of a lady in a big puffy dress who have everyone fooled into believing that she is a saint. But inside closed doors she is a foul-mouthed, smoking, screaming mega-rich shareholder of one of the most financially successful industrial businesses in the universe. An old flame of our loveable old fogey, Professor Farnsworth, she has, on the rare occasion, showed a softer side to her heinous ways. But it never lasts for long, and Mom has proved to be one of the most recurring dangerous antagonists in the show's history, who has gone as far as tricking Fry into believing he was back in the past for a tin of old anchovies, to signalling all of the robots on Earth to wage war on humanity. Voiced by: Tress MacNeille First appearance: In the sixth episode of Futurama, Fry goes to check his old bank account from the past which is amazingly still open with 93 cents, and due to interest he now has a whopping $4.3 billion. During his spending spree he forks a tonne of cash out on the last known can of anchovies still in existent (thanks to Doctor Zoidberg's race for making them extinct). Mom believes Fry to be a business evil genius, wrongly assuming that he has bought the tin of anchovies to harvest a source that they offer that would put Mom's Friendly Robot Company out of business. Greatest episode: In the season 2 episode entitled 'Mother's Day', Mom programmes all of the robots on Earth to destroy all humans so that she can become the evil overlord of Earth. It is revealed that Mom had a romance with Professor Farnsworth years ago, so the crew devise an elaborate plan to make her fall for Farnsworth once again, resulting in the horizontal monster-mash that Fry falsely believes to be "a couple of elephant skin rugs". Finest line: 'Future Stock' "Jam a b*****d in it, you c**p!"
