2. Roose Bolton

Roose Bolton is the other Stannis Baratheon: the second "boring bald" character on Game of Thrones who rarely inspires anything other than cries of: "Not this guy again!" It's kind of frustrating that two out of the five characters fighting for the right to Westeros are relatively uninteresting, of course, but whereas Stannis has improved somewhat in recent episodes, Roose Bolton remains as dull as ever. He's just a guy. A Game of Thrones Jason Statham, if you will. Does anyone care what happens to him at all? It might just be a case of naff casting, of course - if somebody with a little bit more to offer the character had been hired to play Roose (or somebody willing to ham it up, even), maybe there would be less general indifference towards him. But right now this character dwindles in a sort of limbo; you don't want to root for him, but he's not a villain, either. Is there a worse position to be in, as far as a major TV show character is concerned?
