10 Game Of Thrones Characters That Nobody Actually Cares About
9. Loras Tyrell
Loras Tyrell is a potential interesting character who has remained in the background of the show for a long time, popping up now and again as part of a number of plot points, but never really getting any more development than: "He's gay. This character is gay," which - according to many readers of the books - doesn't do him justice at all. So indifference is the feeling that comes tied to Loras, all these seasons later. Game of Thrones could have done a lot more with this guy, and yet almost every single time we see him he's either about to have sex with a man, or is preparing to have sex with a man. Surely there's more to this character than his sexual preferences? Does it need to be hammered home, time and time again, in the most unsubtle ways imaginable? Now, Loras is facing a potential end; to kill him off would likely feel akin to an act of audience mercy, because this character has never managed to ignite any kind of passion. He's just a tool that the show turns to whenever it needs to insight a risque moment.
