This reunion will shape the entire final season.
We have been waiting since the end of series six for Bran to tell Jon about his true parentage. But, with all of his foresight, the Three-Eyed Raven held this key information back long enough for Jon to start a sexual relationship with Aunt Dany.
With Jon heading to Winterfell - with the Mother of Dragons in toe - the biggest revelation of the entire show cannot wait any longer. Jon will surely discover in the first episode of season eight that his real name is Aegon Targaryen, and that he is the heir to the Iron Throne.
Although Jon was very fond of Bran in season one - he passes on some archery wisdom and visits his bed to bid him goodbye before going to the Wall - Bran’s new lifelessness ensures us that this reunion will not be as emotional as Jon's others with the Stark children.
However, it will be more significant, as it will have repercussions which are felt across the whole of the Seven Kingdoms. Season eight cannot come soon enough.
