10 Game Of Thrones Heroes You Didn't Realise Were Villains

8. Margaery Tyrell

Oathkeeper showed a new side to Margery, or certainly one we had always suspected was there. Realising that she has little time to act before Cersei tightened her grip around the next king-to-be Tommen, she snuck into her bed chamber and began the careful art of manipulation. Tommen (her future husband?) is certainly the most innocent person in the whole affair - what will being forced to keep secrets from his mother do to him in the long run? While Cersei is certainly is certainly one of the show's biggest villains, she is not wholly evil; she loves Tommen and Myrcella, like she loved Joffrey and her actions towards Tommen are the love of a mother for her son. No-one should come between that, but Margaery already has. Just as Tywin took Tommen under his wing in 'Breaker Of Chains' so has Margaery began the first steps in breaking the ties between Cersei and her son in 'Oathkeeper'. It is a dangerous plan and one that shows Maragery isn't so pure as she tries to make out. In time, she could become as dangerous as Cersei. Corrupting a young boy for her own ends - to become queen, no less - it is clear that no one is truly innocent in Game Of Thrones.
