10 Gaping Plot Holes In The Game Of Thrones Finale

1. Bran The Immortal God-King

Tyrion says that Bran’s inability to sire children isn’t a deal breaker for him as King, because they should be electing their rulers from now on… but as the Three Eyed Raven, isn’t Bran functionally immortal?

The previous Three Eyed Raven had been waiting for Bran to turn up and inherit the mantle for a thousand years. Tyrion knows Bran’s story, and seems to know about his role in keeping the stories of all mankind safe - but he doesn’t know that Bran doesn’t have to die?

King Brandon I could outlive the whole of Westeros: not the people, but the continent. So much for the future elected kings and queens of the Four Kingdoms.

But there’s more… halfway through season seven, Bran admits to not really being Bran anymore. It’s the reason he gives Meera for being unable to show true empathy and gratitude for all the sacrifices made to get him where he needed to be.

Whatever the Three Eyed Raven is, that’s who Tyrion placed on the throne, not Brandon Stark: a creature with power over the past and the future, who could very well have been manipulating events all along.

We see Tyrion momentarily taken aback and a little worried when Bran delivers that “why do you think I came all this way” line. Is he talking about the journey from Winterfell… or a longer journey, one that began with subtle influences over events from a vantage point years in the future?
