10 Genius Ways To Link All The DC Universe Shows

4. Have A Multi-Faceted Villainous Plot That Requires Watching Four Shows

Without a plot that is well connected but complicated enough to provide a particular need for each hero's strengths, powers, or prowess it will seemed forced, and the last thing fans want is a crossover for the sake of a crossover. All the plot points and challenges need to feel natural, otherwise the crossover event will fall flat and will probably damage the brand of DC's shows and the shows themselves. What could possibly bring together the Fastest Man Alive, A Detective, A Metaphysical Private Eye, and a Modern Day Robin Hood? Well, considering that the Flash is a forensic scientist and the other two men are detectives of sorts its all a matter of putting together a sufficient mystery. But what about Green Arrow? Perhaps the League of Assassins has been eliminating philanthropists in Gotham and Central City for decades, all of whom are part of a Secret Society worshiping a particular god of yore (Trigon for example) who have knowledge of the Lazarus Pit -the rejuvenating pool that allows Ra's Al Ghul his immortality. There needn't be knowledge that the murders are all connected and could come to Constantine, The Flash, and Jim Gordon from different angles. Constantine is investigating the Pit itself, The Flash is researching a murder with an unconventional weapon, while in the past, Jim Gordon is investigating the League of Assassins and their activity in Gotham. Suddenly, the League has reason to believe that Oliver Queen has knowledge of the Lazarus Pit - in fact maybe he does as the Green Arrow. All the pieces line up for the three current day heroes to team up, while background information is offered in Gotham's past that gives the viewers clues to help the solve the mystery along with the heroes.
